Last Wednesday, February 11th, our Varsity Indoor Soccer Teams kicked off their 2025-26 seasons at Zanchin Automotive Centre, hosted by Sheridan College.

Months of practice led up to this opening tournament, and it was an eventful day for both of our teams.

The scores from the day were as follows:

Women's team:

Game 1 vs Centennial: 6-0 L

Game 2 vs St. Clair: 5-0 L

Game 3 vs Sheridan: 6-0 L

The women's day was highlighted by wicked saves in net from goalkeeper Alison Crowley, and strong overall play from Lucia Valdez, earning her Athlete of the Week.

Men's team:

Game 1 vs Centennial: 0-0 T

Game 2 vs St. Clair: 4-1 L

Game 3 vs Sheridan: 4-3 W

The men's day was highlighted by goalkeeper Peter Eshemogie earning a shutout against Centennial, Hunter Brouillard's two-goal performance against Sheridan, and Zayed Shaikh's last-second game-winner, also coming against Sheridan.

Eshemogie earned Athlete of the Week for the men's side.

Our teams look ahead to their next tournament, their regional qualifiers, taking place on March 4th.
