Laurier Brantford Athletics & Recreation commits to hosting a rotational intramural program that runs on a semesterly basis.  

League Offerings

Types of leagues and sport offerings differ every semester, depending on student participation and interest. In the past, leagues such as dodgeball, basketball, and volleyball have been hosted. 

Registration 

All intramural registration is completed online. To view league options and register a team/free agent visit our Online Shop.

Laurier Brantford YMCA  

100 Water St. Brantford, ON  
Parking is located in the Water St. Parkade and is available for a free or free street parking for limited time slots (please refer to city signage for details).  
Upon entry to the LBYMCA you will be required to swipe in with your OneCard at our front Membership Services desk. Once in, please follow facility directions to the Double Gym. 

Refund Policy 

For all Intramural Programs and leagues the refund policy is as follows: 
A FULL refund will be issued BEFORE the league starts. 
Once the league starts NO refunds will be issued. 

FAQS 

  • Who can participate? 
    • All registered Laurier Brantford and Conestoga Brantford students with valid student ID are able to participate.
  • How many teams can I play on?
    • You can only play on 1 team per league. 
  • How do I register my team?
    • All registration is available online. Please visit link above under "Registration".
  • I don't have a team, can I still register on my own? 
    • Yes. You can sign up as a free-agent and will be placed on a team of other free-agents. 
  • When will I know my schedule? 
    • Once registration closes our Rec Program Student Leaders will be working diligently to build an intramural league schedule. You will be notified before the start of the week that your league starts and will be provided a schedule for the whole semester.
  • Why do I have to pay registration fees? 
    • Your team's registration fee helps offset some of the administrative costs of organizing and operating the league including equipment, facility rental, officials, and promotional costs. 
  • I play on an extramural team can I still play intramurals? 
    • Yes, absolutely. However, we encourage you to confirm with your coach that they are comfortable with you participating in this extra physical commitment. We do have a limit of a MAXIMUM of 3 extramural athletes per team roster.
