Last Thursday, January 23rd, Laurier Brantford's Men's and Women's Extramural Hockey Teams traveled to Fanshawe College to participate in their second tournament of the year.

Both teams battled hard against some of the top competition they've faced all year, the scores from the day were as follows: 

Men's Team:

1-1 T vs Fanshawe
3-1 L vs McMaster
5-0 L vs Humber 
3-2 L vs Fanshawe

Women's Team:

6-0 L vs Fanshawe
8-0 L vs McMaster
1-0 L vs Humber
3-0 L vs Humber

On the women's side, highlights from the day included a strong slate of effort across the board, with goaltender Mckenna Lowrie nearly stealing a game against Humber College.

As for the men's team, the day was highlighted by Matthew Chiu's highlight-reel goal against McMaster, rookie Lincoln Humphris scoring his first goal in a Laurier uniform, and Daniel Ferrante backstopping his team to a 1-1 tie against the hosts.

Both teams will compete next at Laurier's home hockey tournament on February 28th here in Brantford.
