Brantford: ON - Last Friday, our Men's Extramural Basketball team competed in their final tournament of the 2025-26 season, this time hosted right here in Brantford at our very-own LBYMCA.

Our boys were looking to end their year off with a win and to build off their strong second-place performance from last year's host event.

In a high-scoring day of basketball, our Golden Hawks opened up their day going 1-1, falling 58-49 to Humber before bouncing back with a strong 52-29 win over Boreal.

Their final round-robin game came against King's College, where the winner earned a spot in the tournament finals.

Despite their efforts, our boys came up just short against King's, falling just one win short of the championship game.

Pearce Taffe-Blanford earned Athlete of the Week for his strong play.

Our basketball team gave it their all and made Laurier Brantford proud throughout the year.
