KING. Ont. - Laurier Brantford's XC team took on the Seneca Invitational last Friday in their second event of the year.
Last Friday, Laurier Brantford's varsity cross country team traveled to Seneca's King Campus for their second race of the 2024 season.
Kennedy Finch led the way once again for the women's team, finishing the 6km course in 14th place with a time of 29:42. Mya Baxter followed in 33rd place with a time of 33:35, and Dhruti Yader finished in 42nd place with a time of 39:44.
On the mens side,
Jackson Rice paced the team with a strong 15th place finish and a time of 31:29 on the 8km course, with
Ayden Carr following in 28th place with a time of 33:40.
Kirby Blackman followed in 49th place with a time of 38:44, with
Jagdeep Singh finishing not far behind in 51st place with a time of 39:34. Todd Pearson and Alex Capolongo took spots 54 and 57, with times of 40:45 and 41:24, respectively.Â
It was another successful race for the Golden Hawks, and they will look to continue their strong performances in their coming races.
Their next event is Saturday, October 5th, where they'll head to Fanshawe College in London.
