On Saturday, November 2, Laurier Brantford's men's extramural basketball team faced off against a squad of alumni players in the annual Homecoming basketball game.

Both teams gave it their all in a contest filled with emotion, highlight-worthy plays and lead changes. The alumni emerged victorious for the second consecutive year.

The alumni team led 28-27 at halftime and secured a 48-45 win in the end. Andrew Kamenz was the standout performer for the alumni, scoring 15 points, while Paul Cate led the extramural team with 12 points.

This victory marks the alumni's second straight win over the extramural team, following a 62-56 triumph last year. The extramural team last claimed victory in 2022, edging out the alumni with a nail-biting 57-56 win.

The alumni will aim for a third consecutive victory next season, while the extramural team will look to bounce back.

The extramural team will compete in its first tournament of the 2024-25 season on November 29 at Humber College.
