Last Friday, Laurier Brantford's Co-Ed Extramural Volleyball Team headed to Seneca's King Campus for their third tournament of the season.
After a perfect start to their season and winning back-to-back titles in their first two tournaments, the squad was looking to continue their terrific year and pull off a three-peat.
The scores from the day were as follows:
Round-robin:
Laurier (25-18, 25-18) vs Seneca (2-0W)
Laurier (25-22, 22-25, 5-12) vs D/OT (2-1L)
Laurier (25-10, 25-17) vs Conestoga (2-0W)
Semi-Finals:
Laurier (25-16, 25-16) vs Georgian (2-0W)
Finals:
Laurier (25-21, 20-25, 14-16) vs D/OT (2-1L)
The Golden Hawks put out another terrific performance on the court but came up just short of the season three-peat, losing a nail-biting final match vs D/OT.
Despite the loss, the team put on a show, coming up just short in the finals.
The squad will have one more shot at a championship when they head to D/OT on April 1st for their final tournament of the season.
