In their third race of the 2024 season, Laurier Brantford's cross country team headed off to London last Saturday to compete in the Fanshawe Invitational race.
On the women's team,
Kennedy Finch had her best placement of the year so far, finishing 10th place with a time of 26:03 on the 6km course. Isabel Uribe Perez finished in 43rd place with a time of 34:39, and following right behind her was Dhruti Yadav, who finished in 44th place with a time of 34:44.
On the men's side, veteran runner
Jackson Rice led the way once again with a 16th place finish and a time of 27:40 on the 8km course.
Kirby Blackman followed in 36th place with a time of 31:49, and
Ethan Firsoff taking 48th place with a time of 34:27.
Jagdeep Singh and Alex Capolongo once again finished just one spot apart, with Singh taking 52nd with a time of 34:53, and Capolongo finishing in 53rd with a time of 34:57. Todd Pearson took 59th overall with a time of 36:06, and Sergio Panart Palacios took 62nd place with a time of 38:11.
The men's team also finished 6th place out of the 9 mens teams.
Laurier's XC team will look to keep their strong season going this Saturday, October 12th when they head to Centennial College.
